Title
Otra Mirada: Spanish theory at the turn of the millennium
Description
In the decade of the 90s emerged in the Spanish architecture a certain collective will of change determined to propitiate a new theoretical and practical look on a reality in transformation. With a forceful vocation of making compatible architectural action and theoretical reflection, in these years, a group of authors constructed across diverse means, supports and platforms of diffusion another look towards the architecture that, far from narrating and to document chronicles, defended and argued new positioning.
The text analyzes the textual corpus generated in these years by some of the protagonists from this theoretical current of heterogeneous and hybrid nature, which combined the vocation of the projects with the intellectual concerns: Iñaki Ábalos, José Alfonso Ballesteros, Xavier Costa, Fernando de Porras-Ysla, Manuel Gausa, Vicente Guallart, Juan Herreros, José Morales, Luis Moreno Mansilla, Willy Müller, Luis Rojo, Federico Soriano, José Antonio Sosa, Emilio Tuñón, Alejandro Zaera-Polo.
